This is for my old friend and supporter Renata Ramos. She has been with me every (dance) step of the way since my first ever performance trip to Brasil "way back when." She was one of the organizers of "VIII BRASILIAN SACRED CIRCLE DANCE MEETING" in June 2009. When she wasn't answering questions or sorting out problems, I saw her sometimes "just dancing," in a very private and powerful way. She was like a Female Shaman with golden light pouring from her - this is a tune which sums up the strength and sacredness of her dancing presence.

The Sacred Circle Dance meeting that I attended in June 2009 was held at the city of Embu das Artes, outside of Sao Paulo. We stayed at the 'Hotel Rancho Silvestre.' It was the Brasilian winter, and the weather was grey and wet. I jogged around the campus every morning, before most of the participants were awake, and felt the power of the forest there. I couldn't help imagining how the campus was in summer when it must swarm with vacationing people. It felt kind of sad in winter and I hope that this piece reflects that feeling, while preparing for the abundance of summer!

I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Frances Rose Feder. She is my Brilliant, Wonderful and Talented Translation Goddess. At events, I literally put words into her mouth! She translates my quirky, esoteric, technical and spiritual English into Perfect Portuguese. She is a rare and beautiful bloom indeed. Thank you SO much Frances!

Take a ride through São Paulo. A city of 12 million inhabitants. It's a CRAZY city, full of cars and football (soccer) fans, AMAZING food and GREAT music. I LOVE SAMPA! Hold tight - it's a WILD ride!

A piece inspired by walking a labyrinth created by labyrinth builder Allan Lopes. I have walked many labyrinths in many parts of the world, but this event was SO very powerful.

Maria Helena Aschenbach or 'Lena' is an extraordinary woman. She is so patient and talented and attentive to people's needs. Lena teaches 'origami' or the folding of paper into amazing shapes. At the encontro, she shared her skills over and over and over again with enormous grace. Her gift to me was a 'Red Dragon of Wales' made from paper. This is my gift to her.

This tune is for Flavia Schneider (my fairy friend and business comrade in Curitiba). An amazing dancer and Celtic music enthusiast, Flavia truly is a 'fairy spirit.'

A track inspired by dancing with Miriam Mardine Gimenes from Campo Grande, Brasil. She is a very 'old soul' and dancing Medieval dances with her feels just about authentic as it can get in the 21st Century.

This tune is for Luana De Andre Sant'Ana. Lua (Moon) has translated for me on a couple of occasions, and did a splendid job on the last event of my Brasilian trip in June 2009. She has a beautiful English speaking voice with an 'English accent' after living in that country for a number of years. This tune is just like Lua, "short and sweet."

For all the really great men that I met on my June trip to Brasil. This tune is for Allan, Alan, Ricardo, Fabio, Edi, Guataçara, Adriano and Rafael plus all the other men at the dance meeting that I didn't get chance to connect with. It takes guts for men to dance with so many amazing women dancers present - it was good to meet you guys!

Whenever I present one of my waltzes at a Brasilian Sacred Circle Dance gathering, the participants LOVE it! So, here is a brand new waltz created especially for all the strong, creative and vibrant women who attend my events in Brasil. They understand completely what I'm trying to achieve, and make all the hard work worthwhile. Thank you SO much my friends for supporting me in my endeavors and being moved by them.

This is for my amazing male cat 'Biniou' (Breton for Bagpipe). He sits and listens to me composing on my bagpipe with no fear. He really is 'Binnie the Brave!'

Not to be 'out done' by Binnie, my male tuxedo cat, Olwyn, my beautiful female tortoise shell demanded a tune for her too. This is it, in a Breton 'An Dro' style.

A 'skein' is basically a ball of wool or yarn. It's rather like a mosque window or Celtic knot-work - it's hard to ascertain where it begins and where it ends!
